Perakende sektöründeki işletmelerin temel amacı müşteri talebinin zamanında ve minimum maliyetle karşılanabilmesidir. Bu nedenle perakende sektöründe etkin bir ürün talep tahminine ihtiyaç duyulur. Talep tahmini karar vericilerin başarılı olmalarında önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Müşterilerin talep edeceği ürün adedinin doğru bilinememesi işletmenin olumsuz etkileneceği durumlar ile karşılaşmasına sebep olacaktır. Bu tez çalışmasında müşteri alışveriş hareketleri ve ürün satışını etkileyen faktörler analiz edilerek belirli kategorideki ürünlere talep âdeti tahmin edilmiştir.
