Çalışmanın üzerine bina edildiği analiz çerçevesi karşılaştırmalı bir düzeyde kurgulanmış olup ilk bölümde Batı kültür tarihinin belirleyici bir unsurunu oluşturan üniversite fikrinin tarihi gelişimine ilişkin bir girizgâh yapılmakta; ardından Türk üniversitelerinde yerleşik bir hâl kazanmış olan kök sorunlar tartışılmakta; son bölümde ise, bu sorunların mikro ve makro ölçekte ortaya çıkardığı tahribatlara ilişkin tespitlerde bulunulmaktadır.

Areas of mentoring needs of novice andpreservice teachers

This research on mentoring phenomenon aims at putting forth the areas of mentoring need for the novice and preservice teachers. This study exhibits a pattern consisting of qualitative research model and takes as a basis the case study approach. Criteria sampling technique was used in the research due to reasons peculiar to the research. The research was conducted with primary teachers with one to five years of experience in his/her occupation as well as candidate teachers who haven’t started service yet. The data was collected through interviews with novice and preservice teachers. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was found out that both novice and preservice teachers need mentoring on pedagogically significant matters.

Examination of Life Science Textbooks in Terms of Childhood Injuries

The aim of this study is to examine how childhood injuries are handled in Life Science textbooks and how it is distributed according to grade levels and units and to reveal which types of injuries (volu ntary -inte ntion al and invol untar y-uni ntenti onal ) are involved and with what approach and under which topics these injuries are handled. In this study, Life Science textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education Board of Education and Discipline and used in primary school first to third grades in the 2021–2022 academic year were chosen as the data source of the research. Bu araştırma 2020-2021 öğretim yılı Mersin merkez ilçelerinde (Akdeniz, Mezitli, Toroslar, Yenişehir) görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin doğayla ilişki ve çevre bilinç düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. The purpose of the study is to determine the cultural capital levels of pre-service primary school teachers; to examine the variables affecting their cultural capital levels and the level of influence of these variables. The study group of research, in which relational research model was used, consists of 449 pre-service primary school teachers. Capturing the Experience: How Digital Media Affects Memory Retention in Museum Education

This study investigates the effects of digital media usage, specifically photo-taking and video recording, on memory retention in the context of museum education. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, this research involved three groups, each exposed to different conditions: observation without media use, photo-taking, and video recording. A total of 120 university students who participated in the study were divided randomly into groups balanced by working memory capacity. Immediate and delayed recall tests were conducted to assess short-term memory and long-term retention.
