Discontinuity set extraction from 3D point clouds obtained by UAV Photogrammetry in a rockfall site

Rockfall event is common on rocky terrain, and it threatens people. Recent advances in remote sensing technologies allow us to model the terrain with high accuracy and resolution. In this study, we show the application of modeling a rockfall site in three-dimensional (3D) using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The acquisition of information about discontinuities in the rock masses using 3D point clouds is vital to characterize rockfall dynamics. We obtained 3D spatial information and point clouds of a rocky slope from acquired images. We extracted 10 discontinuity sets from the 3D model as they have significant effects on the failure mechanism. Tarsus Belediyesi’nin Caminur Mahallesinde 2017 yılı içerisinde gerçekleştirdiği kazılarda, Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi’ne ait bazı mimari izler açığa çıkmıştır. Burada sadece kesitte görülen dört duvar kalıntısı, bir Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi Hamamı’na ait olabilir. Bu yapısal izlerin bir hamama ait olması durumunda, Tarsus’un Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi kentsel dokusu ve Kydnos Irmağı’nın yatağının konumu konusunda yeni görüşler sunmak mümkündür. Hamam’ın kent içerişindeki konumu, Kleopatra Kapısı’nın Roma Tarsus’unun batı sınırlarını oluşturmadığını kanıtlamaktadır. Bu durum Köylü Garajı’nın bir nekropol olamayacağını düşündürtmektedir. The effect of home-bleaching application on the color and translucency of five resin composites

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of home bleaching agents on the color and translucency of resin composites. Methods: Thirty disc shaped specimens (1mm thick) were fabricated from each resin composite (Reflexions, Grandio, Gradia Direct, Clearfil Majesty Esthetic, Ceram-X Mono) and divided into 3 subgroups as carbamide peroxide (CP, Opalescence 10% PF), hydrogen peroxide (HP, 10% Opalescence Treswhite Supreme) and control group (n=10). Performance investigation and emission analysis of a diesel engine operated on hydrogen and ammonia

This study investigates binary-fuel operation of a single-cylinder diesel engine using hydrogen and ammonia as secondary fuels through comprehensive CFD simulations. The effects of injector hole diameter, injection timing, and injection duration on combustion, performance, and emissions were systematically analyzed under both full- and partial-load conditions. Parametric analyses further revealed that variations in nozzle diameter and injection duration exerted a stronger influence on indicated power and efficiency than intake air conditions. The results indicate that injector geometry strongly influences combustion dynamics. Background. Warfarin is a commonly used oral anticoagulant agent. The most common adverse effects of warfarin are bleeding complications. Methods. We performed a 1-year retrospective chart review of emergency department patients using warfarin. A total of 65 patients with bleeding disorder (study group) and 63 patients without bleeding (control group) were included, making up a total of 128 subjects.
