Examination of individuals' depression, anxiety, and stress levels during the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey

Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the depression, anxiety, and stress levels of individuals during the COVID-19 epidemic. In addition, the compatibility of the Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale (DASS-21) scale results with the participants' feeling depressed, anxious, and stressed were examined. Design and methods: The sample of the study consisted of 870 individuals over the age of 18 between May–August 2021. The data of the study were collected online, using the personal information form and DASS-21. Mersin’de yetiştiriciliği yapılan gökkuşağı alabalıkları (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum, 1792)’ında saptanan ektoparazit protozoonlar

Mersin ilinde faaliyet gösteren 7 gökkuşağı alabalığı (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum, 1792 işletmesinde 2005 yılında bir yıl süreyle 226 balık paraziter yönden incelenmiştir. İşletmelerde kullanılan suyun sıcaklığı (ºC), çözünmüş oksijen (mg/L) ve pH değerleri ölçülmüştür. Mikroskobik bakı balıkların dış yüzeyi, yüzgeçleri ve solungaç yapraklarından kazıntı alınarak 100X, 250X ve 400X büyütme ile ışık mikroskobunda natif olarak yapılmıştır. İncelenen 226 adet balığın 41’inde (%18,14) 42 adet ektoparazit protozoona rastlanmıştır. 25 (%11,06) adet balıkta Ichtyophythirius multifiliis Fouquet, 1876, 12 (%5,31) balıkta Trichodina spp. Ehrenberg, 1838 ve 5 (%2,21) adet balıkta Chilodonella spp. Strand, 1926 tespit edilmiştir. Eroin bağımlısı olan bireylerin umutsuzluk düzeyleri ile sosyal destekleri arasındaki ilişki

Amaç: Bu araştırma, eroin bağımlısı bireylerin umutsuzlukları ile sosyal desteklerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini bir Alkol ve Uyuşturucu Madde Bağımlıları Tedavi ve Araştırma Merkezi’nde 03 Kasım 2014-03 Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında yatarak tedavi gören bireylerin tamamı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise; örneklem seçim yöntemine gidilmeyip araştırmanın dahil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan 129 birey oluşturmaktadır. Status of Weighted Agreement Statistics Between Two Raters in Ordinal Data Affected by Sample size and Number of Categories

The aim of this study is to introduce weighted inter-rater agreement statistics used in ordinal scales, compare weighted agreement statistics along with the Spearman correlation coefficient and revealtheir status of being affected by the sample size and number of categories. For this purpose, data for different sample sizes and number of categories were produced for the cases when there is no relationship or when there is low, medium, or high relationship between the two raters, and the aforementioned weighted agreement statistics were calculated. Determination of Sample Size Using Resource Equation Methods in Analysis of Variance Models in Animal Studies

The Resource Equation Method is a method developed as an alternative to power analysis for the calculation of sample size in animal studies. With this approach, the sample size is calculated based on the error degrees of freedom (DF) in the variance analysis model. In this study, one and two-factor variance analysis models, which are commonly used in animal studies, are discussed. The minimum and maximum sample size required for these models were calculating and presented in tables. Öğrenci hemşirelerde stres yaratan durumlar ve baş etme yöntemleri

Bu araştırma, hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrenci hemşirelerde stres yaratan durumlar ve baş etme yöntemlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Yöntem: Bu araştırma bir Sağlık Yüksekokulu Hemşirelik Bölümü’nde öğrenim gören 531 öğrenciden gönüllülük ilkesi gereği araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 280 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri “Öğrenci Hemşirelerde Stres Yaratan Durumlara İlişkin Bilgi Formu” ve “Stresle Başa Etme Tarzları Ölçeği’’ kullanılarak toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik, ortalama, ortanca, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskall Wallis testleri kullanıldı.
