The Interaction Effect of Gender, Development of Financial Leasing and Reliability of Financial Systems on Entrepreneurship: Mixed- Effects Regression Analysis

HIDIROĞLU, DUYGU

There are significant differences between male and female entrepreneurship. One of the biggest factors that reveals this difference is access to financial resources. This study aims to observe what will happen when the problems of access to financial resources between genders are eliminated. It is expected that if it happens, the number of both new enterprises regardless of gender and enterprises that women have could increase significantly. The aim of this study is to observe whether new enterprises and the tendency of women to start enterprises are positively affected when the reliability of financial systems and the development of financial leasing are both increased. In line with the purpose of the study, the analysis findings on the reliability of financial systems and the developmen...

Unel, Fatma Bunyan | Kusak, Lutfiye | Yakar, Murat

This is study aimed to create a model for calculating the total reference crop evapotranspiration (ETo) in Mersin Province from May 2015 to 2020 and to generate maps using spatial analysis. Lemons from citrus play a significant role inMersin’s agriculture, and because of lemons’ sensitivity to temperature, ETo is essential for them. Itwas observed that the ETo value (EToPM) calculated using the Penman-Monteith (PM)method increased over the years. A model was developed using data from çâ Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS) in Mersin, Türkiye, which is located in a semi-arid climate zone. the model was created using Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) and artificial neural network (ANN) methods. the station climate data were divided into training and test datasets separately and c...

Exploring Transformation Through Travel by Means of the Movie The Way

Çınar, Burhan | Pala Morkoç, Tuğba

Transformation through travel is attracting scholarly attention due to its potential to trigger a radical transformation extending beyond the traveler’s unique experience during the trip of a lifetime. As one of the most common ways of encountering the different, tourism can enable people to become aware of their hidden assumptions and make volitional decisions about them, resulting in a transformation. This study aims to understand how transformation takes place through touristic experience, based on Mezirow’s learning theory. To do this, the movie The Way (Emilio Estevez, 2010), which depicts the relationship between touristic experience and the transformation of the individual in an artistically powerful manner, was utilized. To analyze the document that constitutes the data source of t...

The osteoinductive potential of different root-end filling materials in a rat femur model

Aksu, Seckin | Kucuk, Ayse Ozcan

In pediatric dentistry, the enduring success of root-end filling materials employed for the establishment of apical plugs in immature teeth undergoing endodontic intervention is contingent upon their possessing a robust osteoinductive capacity. Hence, the primary objective of this study was to histologically assess the osteoinductive potential of four distinct dental materials, specifically recommended for retrograde filling applications, utilizing an animal hard tissue model. Within the designed experimental model, two bone defects measuring 2 mm in diameter and 2 mm in depth were created in both femurs of a cohort comprising 21 male Wistar albino rats. The first defect in the right femur was left blank as the control group, and Neo MTA Plus was placed in the second defect. The EndoSequen...

Differential Responses of Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) Cultivars to Exogenous Indole-3-Butyric Acid Application

ZULKADİR GÜLAY

Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a globally important legume crop valued for its nutritional content and adaptability. Establishing a robust root system during early growth is critical for optimal nutrient uptake, shoot development, and increased resistance to biotic stress. This study evaluated the effects of exogenous indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) on root and shoot development in two bean cultivars, Onceler-98 and Topcu, during the seedling stage. IBA was applied at four concentrations: 0 (control), 50, 100, and 150 μM. Morphological parameters measured included root length (RL), root fresh weight (RFW), root dry weight (RDW), root nodule number (RNN), shoot length (SL), shoot fresh weight (SFW), and shoot dry weight (SDW). The experiment followed a randomized complete block design with four r...

Yiğit, Abdurahman Yasin | Ulvi, Ali | Yakar, Murat

The human population is constantly increasing throughout the world, and accordingly, construction is increasing in the same way. Therefore, there is an emergence of irregular and unplanned urbanization. In order to achieve the goal of preventing irregular and unplanned urbanization, it is necessary to monitor the cadastral borders quickly. In this sense, the concept of a sensitive, up-to-date, object-based, 3D, and 4D (4D, 3D + time) cadastral have to be a priority. Therefore, continuously updating cadastral maps is important in terms of sustainability and intelligent urbanization. In addition, due to the increase in urbanization, it has become necessary to update the cadastral information system and produce 3D cadastral maps. However, since there are big problems in data collection in urb...

4D Printing Technology and Its Application Possibilities in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)

Ece Kalay | İskender Özkul

4D printing technology is an innovative manufacturing method that adds the dimension of time to traditional 3D printing, enabling materials to respond to environmental stimuli (such as temperature, humidity, light, etc.) by changing shape, properties, or functionality. This study examines the fundamental principles of 4D printing in detail and explores its advantages and potential applications in the context of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The foundation of 4D printing lies in the use of smart materials such as shape-memory polymers, self-healing composites, and hydrogels. These materials allow UAV components to dynamically adapt to flight conditions through pre-programmed responses. The study also comparatively discusses 4D printing techniques (FDM, SLA, DIW, SLM) and their suitabilit...

The Determination of Financing Sources Affecting the Capital Budgets of Airline Companies

Korkmaz, Turhan | Turaboğlu, Tuncay Turan

This study aims to determine the impact of airline companies’ internal and external financing decisions on fixed asset investments. For this purpose, 25 airline companies worldwide were divided into two groups, with a market value greater than 10 billion dollars (BigCap) and below (SmallCap), and analyzed using the panel data method. External financing sources have a negative effect on fixed asset investments for BigCap airline companies, while external financing sources have a positive effect on SmallCap airline companies. Equity financing, return on assets, and net profit margin have statistically significant positive effects on fixed asset investments in SmallCap companies, while these effects are not statistically significant for BigCap companies.
