Antakya (Antiokheia) Kent Kazısında Bulunan Üç Grup Orta Çağ İslami Sikke

In this article, 17 coins found in the archaeological excavations of parcel 4642 in 2011/2012 by the Hatay Archaeology Museum in Antakya, the central district of Hatay, were examined. For the first time in this research, the coins were analysed in detail to understand their contents. Among the 17 coins examined; 5 of them belong to the Abbasid period, 7 to the Buwayhid period and 5 to the Samanid period. In this article, due to the lack of scientific studies on the Islamic period coins of Antakya, it is aimed to reveal the little-known medieval Islamic period of the region by analysing these coins.
