Ports play a critical role in global trade, yet they are both contributors to and recipients of climate change. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to examine the relationship between climate change and port operations, identifying key themes, methodological approaches, and research gaps within the literature, including the need for standardized vulnerability assessments, policy-driven adaptation strategies, and a more integrated, cross-regional approach to port resilience. A bibliometric analysis was performed using peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in the Web of Science. The study employed keyword-based searches, document screening, and bibliometric techniques such as publication trends, keyword co-occurrence analysis, citation impact evaluation, and research clustering. Stu...
As global environmental challenges intensify, there is an increasing need to equip younger generations with the knowledge, values, and sense of responsibility necessary for a sustainable future. This study explores how environmental citizenship education (ECE), implemented through a nature-based learning program within a Nature and Science School (NSS) in Türkiye, was experienced and interpreted by primary school pupils in relation to their development of understanding of sustainability and environmental citizenship. NSSs, integrated into the formal education system by the Turkish Ministry of National Education, offer inquiry-driven and experiential learning in natural settings. The study took place in Talat Göktepe Grove, a biodiverse site including forest and marine ecosystems, where a f...

The indiscriminate use of surface water has heightened the demand for groundwater supplies. Therefore, it is critical to locate potential groundwater sources to develop alternative water resources. Groundwater detection is tremendously valuable, as is sustainable groundwater management. Mersin, in southern Türkiye, is expected to confront drought shortly due to increased population, industry, and global climate change. The groundwater potential zones of Mersin were determined in this study by GIS-based AHP, VIKOR, and TOPSIS methods. Fifteen parameters were used for this goal. The study area was separated into five categories. The results show that the study area can be divided into “Very High” zones (4.98%, 5.94%, 7.96%), followed by “High” zones (10.89%, 10.32%, 16.50%), “Moderate” zones...

This study explores the relationship between teachers’ entrepreneurial behaviors and their creativity-nurturing behaviors, with a particular emphasis on sustainability in education. While previous studies have typically examined entrepreneurship and creativity as separate concepts, often focusing on their individual dimensions, this study underscores the significance of integrating entrepreneurial and creative competencies to promote sustainable educational practices. By highlighting how teachers’ entrepreneurial and creative skills contribute to sustainable education, this study addresses the broader impact these competencies have on meeting the evolving needs and expectations of students, families, and society. This approach supports the development of a more resilient and adaptive educa...
Green finance—including bilateral and multilateral development aid and concessional
loans—has emerged as a critical tool in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy,
particularly in emerging economies. Türkiye, since the early 2000s, has increasingly relied
on climate-related official development flows in alignment with its sustainability and
emissions reduction targets. This study examines the impact of green finance and financial
globalization on environmental sustainability in Türkiye over the period 2001–2021.
It specifically tests the load capacity curve (LCC) hypothesis, which posits a non-linear
(U-shaped) relationship between financial drivers and ecological outcomes. The study employs
the load capacity factor (LCF) as an environmental pressure indicator and uses A...
This study seeks to explore the relationship between science teachers’ computational thinking skills, collaborative learning attitudes, and their creativity in the context of sustainable education. The study adopted an explanatory sequential design, which is one of the designs used in mixed-method research. A total of 369 science teachers were included in the quantitative phase of the study. Quantitative data were collected using three different scales. These scales included the “Computational Thinking Scale”, “Online Cooperative Learning Attitude Scale (OCLAS)”, and “Creative Self-Efficacy Scale”. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), confirmatory factor analysis, and path analysis were conducted to analyze the quantitative data. The qualitative phase of the study consisted of nine science...
The education systems, financial circumstances, and societal structures of our century expect educators to possess the most important characteristic: the ability to guide students who are highly digitally competent and keep themselves up to date. The “Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4)” emphasized by the According to the United Nations highlight the necessity of continuously updating teacher competencies for quality and inclusive education. Establishing music teachers’ “digital competencies” on a sustainable basis depends on combining technical skills with a pedagogical vision. Therefore, thoroughly examining music teachers’ digital competencies in light of international standards and the TPAC model is critical to ensuring the sustainability of digital transformation at both the institu...
