Theaimofthisstudyistodeterminetheawarenessofprimaryteachersabouttheteachingoflocationanddirection concepts.Thestudywasdesignedaccordingtoaqualitativeresearchmodel,andthedatawascollectedthroughasemi structuredinterviewformdevelopedbyresearchersconsistingofopen-endedquestions.Thestudygroupconsistedof sevenprimaryteachersworkinginEskişehir,MersinandNevşehirprovincesofTurkey.Indeterminingthestudygroup, theconveniencesamplingtechniquewasusedfrompurposefulsamplingmethods.Theinterviewswereconductedin thefallsemesterofthe2020-2021academicyearandthedataobtainedwereanalyzedbycontentanalysis.Thestudy findingsshowedthatparticipantswereawarethattheconceptsof“location”and“direction”constituteanecessityin thecurriculumandthattheteachingoftheseconceptsprovidesbenefitsandconveniencetostudentsbothinschool lifeandindailylifepractice.
