İnsan iyi ve kötü olanı düşünüp eyleme dönüştürme potansiyeline sahiptir. Onun bu çerçevedeki bütün faaliyetleri, manevî ve ahlâkî duyuş-düşünüş ve davranışlarının niteliğine doğrudan etki etmektedir. Bir terbiye kitabı olarak Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, bağlılarına bu süreçte güçlü bir kavram ve değerler seti önermektedir. Bu kavramlardan biri de tezkiye kavramıdır. Bu araştırma, Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de yer alan “tezkiye” kavramının anlam alanını ve Müslüman bireyin manevî-ahlâkî olgunluğa erişme sürecindeki rolünü incelemektedir. Çalışmanın temel amacı, tezkiye kavramının müfessirler ve mutasavvıflar tarafından nasıl yorumlandığını tespit etmek ve bu yorumlar üzerinden kavramın manevî-ahlâkî boyutlarını açıklığa kavuşturmaktır. Tezkiye, İslâm düşüncesinde içsel arınmayla birlikte bireyin tüm davranışlarının bu arınma sonucu edinilen bilinçle şekillenmesini ifade eden merkezi bir kavramdır. Tefsir ve tasavvuf literatüründen hareketle gerçekleştirilen bu incelemede, tezkiye kavramının inananların gelişimine yaptığı katkı ortaya konulmakta; mu’min bireylerin tutum ve davranışlarını yönlendiren temel bir ilke olarak tezkiyenin, manevî-ahlâkî yaşamın inşasında belirleyici bir role sahip olduğu vurgulanmaktadır.

Human beings possess the potential to contemplate both good and evil and to transform these tendencies into action. All activities carried out within this framework directly influence the quality of their spiritual and moral perceptions, thoughts, and behaviors. As a book of moral and spiritual cultivation, the Qur’an offers its followers a robust set of concepts and values to guide this process. Among these concepts is “tazkiyah.” This study examines the semantic scope of the Qur’anic term “tazkiyah” and its role in the spiritual and moral maturation of the Muslim individual. The primary aim of the research is to identify how the concept of tazkiyah is interpreted by mufassirūn and Sufi thinkers, and to clarify its spiritual and ethical dimensions based on these interpretations. In Islamic thought, tazkiyah represents a central concept that denotes inner purification and the shaping of one’s actions through the consciousness acquired as a result of this purification. Drawing on tafsīr and Sufi literature, this study reveals the contribution of tazkiyah to the believer’s process of spiritual development. It emphasizes that tazkiyah functions as a fundamental principle guiding the attitudes and behaviors of the believer, playing a decisive role in shaping their spiritual and moral life.
