Özet
Bu bildiride 20. yüzyılın başlarında teknolojinin gelişimi ve yaygınlaşması ile birlikte üretim-tüketim biçim
ve ilişkilerindeki büyük değişimlerin sanatsal, kültürel ve toplumsal yaşama olan etkileri tartışılmıştır.
Aynı, seri üretim mantığı ile imal edilen sanayi sistemi ürünlerin sanat nesnesi olarak kullanılması Marcel
Duchamp ile başlamış ve Andy Warhol ve Josehp Beuys tarafından takip edilmiştir. Sanatçılar galeri
mekanlarında ve dış mekanlarda gerçekleştirdikleri sergiler ve aktiviteler yoluyla kapitalist ve endüstriyel
sistemin nedenselliğini sorgulamıştır. Bu bağlamda, reklam teknikleri yoluyla insan bilincinde çekici bir
etki oluşturacak bilimsel yöntemlerle hazırlatılmış olan seri üretim ve tüketim nesnelerinin özellikle de
plastik şişelerin çevreye, ekolojik sisteme ve insan sağlığına verdiği zararlı etkileri konu edinilmiştir.
Dahası, plastik şişeler içerisinde satışa sunulan ürünlerin su gibi tükenebilir yaşamsal kaynaklara yoluyla
ekolojik sisteme, doğaya ve insan sağlığına verdiği zararlara dikkat çekilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın
kapsamı ve amacı dahilinde, sivil insiyatiflerin, sanatçı ve aktivistlerin plastik şişelerden oluşturdukları
sanatsal çalışmalardan örnekler sunulmuştur. Sonuç olarak, ekolojik sistemin ve doğal kaynakların
korunmasına yönelik olarak farkındalık ve bilinç yaratmada sanatçı sorumluluğunun etkisi ve önemine
vurgu yapılamaya çalışılmıştır.

PLASTIC BOTTLES AS A CULTURE AND ART OBJECT 2
Abstract
In this paper, the effects of the crucial changes in the production and consumption forms and relationships
arising from the development of technological progress and its proliferation in the early 20th century on
artistic, cultural and communal living have been discussed. The use of the industrial system objects
manufactured with the same, mass production logic as art images started with Marcel Duchamp and pursued
by Andy Warhol and Josehp Beuys. Artists have questioned the causality of capitalist and industrial system
through the exhibitions and activities carried out in the gallery and outdoor showrooms. In this context, the
harmful effects of mass production and consumption objects especially plastic bottles that are prepared with
scientific methods that will have an attractive effect in human consciousness on the environment, ecological
system and human health have been brought into discussion. Moreover, it has tried to draw attention to the
damages of marketed products in plastic bottles to the ecological system and human health through the
exhaustible living resources such as water. Within the scope and the purpose of this study the examples
from other empirical studies carried out in the source of pollution and galleries in order to create awareness
against their damages through plastic bottles applications are submitted. As a result, the effect and
importance of artist’s responsibility in creating awareness and consciousness for the protection of the
ecological system and natural resources are emphasized.
