Osmanlı Devleti’nin en son saray yapısı olan Yıldız Sarayı’nın kompleks bir yapı özelliği taşımasına bağlı olarak arşivde, birçok tasnife dağılmış inşaat, tamirat ve tefrişat belgesine rastlanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda araştırma içerisine, her çeşit fondan belgeler dâhil edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sarayın yüzü aşkın yapıya sahip olması ve buna bağlı olarak her yapının detayına girilerek anlatılması herhangi bir makale özelinde mümkün görülmediği için arşivde dikkat çekici detayları barındıran belgeler üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu örnek belgelerin transkripsiyonları yapılmış ve metin içerisinde yer yer bu dil içi çeviriler kullanılmıştır. Belgelerden elde edilen bulgular, dönemin imar faaliyetlerini birincil kaynaklar vasıtasıyla anlama/anlamlandırma adına veri üretmiştir. Aynı zamanda bu bulgular, sanat tarihi ve mimarlık tarihi alanlarını doğrudan ilgilendirmekle birlikte muhteviyatında iktisat tarihine de katkılar sunacak veriler barındırmaktadır. Bu çalışma için 75 klasörün içerisindeki 518 belge görüntüsü okunmuştur. Araştırma kapsamı, 1877-1909 tarih aralığını kapsamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Osmanlı arşivinde çalışma yapan/yapacak araştırmacıların Osmanlı dönemi inşaat, tamirat ve tefrişat faaliyetleriyle ilgili ne tür bilgi ve belgelerle karşılaşabileceklerini Yıldız Sarayı özelinde ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma en nihayetinde Osmanlı mimarlık tarihine dair bilgiyi genişletme umudundadır.

Due to the fact that Yıldız Palace, the last palace structure of the Ottoman Empire, had a complex structure,
many classified construction, repairing and furnishing documents were found in the archive. In this context,
it has been tried to include documents from all kinds of funds in the research. Since the palace has more than
a hundred buildings and accordingly it is not possible to describe each building by going into details in any
article, the documents containing remarkable detailsin the archive have been emphasized. Transcriptions of
these sample documents were made and these intra-linguistic translations were used from time to time in the
text. The findings obtained from the documents produced data in order to understand/make sense of the
zoning activities of the period through primary sources. At the same time, these findings contains data that
will contribute to the history of economics, as well as directly related to the fields of art history and
architectural history. For thisstudy, 518 document images in 75 folders were read. The scope of the research
covers the date range of 1877-1909. The aim of this study is to reveal what kind of information and
documents that researchers who work/will work in the Ottoman archives can encounter regarding the
construction, repair and furnishing activities of the Ottoman period, specifically in Yıldız Palace. This study
ultimately hopes to expand the knowledge of Ottoman architectural history
