Öz: Metin; son derece karmaşık dizimsel ve dizgesel ilişkiler ağının oluşturduğu, yapısal ve sanatsal yönden iki iletişim kanalının aynı anda işlediği, üretim ve tüketim süreçleri olan, ister sözel ya da yazılı dil unsurlarından ister görsel figürlerden oluşsun bildirişim amaçlı çok boyutlu dizgedir. Bu karmaşık ve çok boyutlu yapının anlam üretim sürecinin anlaşılması da yüzeysel düzeyden derin düzeye doğru çok boyutlu deneysel bir okumayı zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Francis Bacon’un “In Memory
of George Dyer” adlı triptik çalışması bu türden çok boyutlu bir okumaya fırsat tanıyan gösterge bilimi yöntem ve teknikleriyle çözümlenmiştir. Bu deneysel okumada sözceleme öznesinin yüzeysel yapıda somutlaştırdığı plastik göstergeler ve figüratif unsurlardan hareketle derin yüzeydeki gizil, devingen ve soyut ilişkiler ağında üretilen mesajlara ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Daha sonra da sanatçının diğer
yapıtlarıyla medyalar arası ilişki unsurları tespit edilip bir tür üst okuma ve yorum gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen çözümlemede disiplinler arası bir bakış açısıyla özelde “In Memory of George Dyer” adlı yapıt, genelde ise Francis Bacon’un sanatsal kişiliği ele alınmıştır.

Abstract: The text is extremely complex syntagematic
and systemic network form, the two communication
channel operate simultaneously structurally and artistic,
having production and consumption process whether it is
composed of verbal/written language element sor visual
figures aimed at communication. Understanding of this
complex and multidimensional production process of meaning requires multilevel, empirical reading from superficial
to deep level. The study was analysed with methods and
technics of semiotics that give opportunity fort his kind
multidimensional reading of Francis Bacon’s tryrictic study
named “In Memory of George Dyer”. In this empirical
reading it has been tried to be reached messages produced
in deep surface, latent, dynamic and abstract relationships
based on plastic indicators and figurative elements which
enunciation subject embody at superficial structure. Then
the relationships between author’s other Works and media
elements were identified and a kind of reading and interpretation were performed. In this anlysis carried out, with an
interdisciplinary perspective, the work of “In Memory of
George Dyer”, specifically, and the Francis Bacon’s artistic
personality in general, were discussed.
