A faunistic and ecological study on Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea (Lepidoptera) of Sultandağları Mountains (Afyonkarahisar/Turkey)

In this study, the fauna of Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea (Lepidoptera) from Sultandağları Mountains, Afyonkarahisar province, in Turkey were investigated. Field collections were conducted between March and August from 1997 to 2001. Individuals were collected from 110 field surveys. The specimens belonged to 131 species in seven families, including Papilionidae (6 species), Pieridae (17), Libytheidae (1), Argynnidae (21), Satyridae (24), Lycaenidae (45), and Hesperiidae (17). A Faunistic Study on Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea (Lepidoptera) of Murat Mountain in Banaz, UŞAK Province, Turkey

This study was carried out in Murat Mountain located in Banaz district (Uşak, Western Turkey), during 2000-2009 in order to collect data on Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea species, their distribution and current status. Butterflies (756) were caught with sweep nets from 28 localities during the field work of which 113 species and subspecies belonging to 7 families and 2 superfamilies were identified; 87 species were identified for the first time for Lepidoptera fauna of Uşak province and 103 species were identified for the first time for Murat Mountain (Banaz) fauna.

Lepidoptera fauna in aegean region of Turkey

In this study, the fauna of Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea (Lepidoptera) in Aegean region (Southwest Turkey) has been investigated. Determination of Effects of Seasonal and Sampling Area on Ulva Rigida’s Elemental Composition

Macroalgae is used as a bioindicator for their accumulation capacity of potentially hazardous elements. Ulva spp. was used extensively in previous studies as in the recent study. Along the Mersin coast, sampling was made in four different locations (Çamlıbel Marina, Pozcu Marina, Deniz Feneri, Karaduvar) during the spring and summer seasons between 2015-2016. Nemophora fascielle (Fabricius, 1775) (Adelidae) and Endothenia sororiana (Herrich-Schaffer, 1851) (Tortricidae) were caught with insect net, mercury vapour light trap and white screen, at different altitudes, with various vegetation in Hatay. Lepidoptera fauna in Akdağmadeni region of Yozgat, Turkey

The histories of the researches on the Lepidoptera of Yozgat are given. This study was carried out in Akdağlar located in Akdağmadeni district (Yozgat, Turkey), during the years 1999 to 2000.
