Assessment of eutrophication in the Berdan River Basin (Türkiye) using various classification tools

The trophic status of the Berdan River Basin was determined using univariate and multivariate classification tools. The results indicated that the water quality/ trophic status of a downstream section of the Berdan River was characterized as “poor/eutrophic” due to anthropogenic inputs from agricultural, industrial and domestic wastewater discharges. Women’s Successful Aging

The authors investigated women’s successful aging in the context of well-being and satisfaction with life. This study was conducted with 129 women in Women’s Rest Homes in the province of Adana, Turkey. It was found that satisfaction with life (SL) was significantly associated with successful aging (SAS) (β = .350; p = .005; t = 2.833), and SAS (β = .358; p = .008; t = 2.632) and SL (β = .669; p ≤ 0.001; t = 4.774) were significantly associated with women’s well-being (WBI). In this study, dissolved nutrients concentrations were measured monthly at downstream points of the two regional rivers (the Berdan and Göksu rivers) flowing into the Cilician Basin of the North-eastern (NE) Mediterranean Sea.The dissolved nutrients data obtained between September 2021 and August 2022 were used to determine riverine nutrient fluxes. In this study, heavy metal (Cu, Zn, Cr, Cd, Pb and As) levels in the muscle of economically important fish species (Trachurus mediterraneus, Sparus aurata and Pegusa lascaris) living in different water columns in the North-East Mediterranean Sea were measured. Potential of Cottonseed Oil as Fish Oil Replacer in European Sea Bass Feed Formulation

Triplicate groups of 20 European sea bass (35 g) were fed five diets in which the added lipid was 100% fish oil (FO), 40% (CSO40), 60% (CSO60), 80% (CSO80) and 100% (CSO100) refined cottonseed oil (CSO), for a period of 120 days. Overall fish growth, feed conversion ratio and protein utilization were unaffected by dietary treatment, but hepatosomatic and visceral fat indexes increased with increasing dietary CSO.
