Effects of Dietary Nucleotide Yeast on Immune Responses and Antioxidant Enzyme Activities of Rainbow Trout Juveniles (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

ARZU ÖZLÜER HUNT | FERBAL ÖZKAN YILMAZ | KENAN ENGİN | SERAP YALIN

This study aimed at demonstrating the effects of dietary supplementation of nucleotide yeast base protein (Nu-Pro®) (NP) on the antioxidant enzyme activities and immune response in liver and blood tissues of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Fish with an average initial weight of 27.75±0.26 g were randomly assigned to four groups with three replicates. Throughout the 60 day grow-out period the control group was fed a fish meal based basal diet, and three other groups were fed diets in which 20 (NP 20), 40 (NP 40) and 60 % (NP 60) fish meal was substituted with nucleotide (Nu-Pro® (NP) yeast ...Daha fazlası

Prophylactic efect of myricetin and apigenin against lipopolysaccharide‑induced acute liver injury

FAHRİ KARAYAKAR | FERBAL ÖZKAN YILMAZ | ARZU ÖZLÜER HUNT

Background Liver has an important role in the initiation and progression of multiple organ failure that occurs in sepsis. Many natural active substances can be used to reduce the liver injury caused by sepsis. For this aim, the efects of myricetin and apigenin on mice model of acute liver injury was evaluated in this study. Methods and results Thirty-six mice were randomly divided into six groups as; control, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (5 mg/kg), LPS+myricetin (100 mg/kg), LPS+myricetin (200 mg/kg), LPS+apigenin (100 mg/kg), and LPS+apigenin (200 mg/kg) groups. Myricetin and apigenin were admini ...Daha fazlası

Comparison of Biochemical, Fatty Acids and Lipid Quality Indexes of Prussian Carp (Carassius gibelio) Caught from Lake Çıldır on Different Seasons

Essential fatty acids have a crucial function in human health and hence there is a growing interest in fatty acids profile and nutritional quality of fish, originating from both marine and freshwater resources. This research was performed to identify the seasonal changes in nutritional quality, fatty acids composition and energy contents of Prussian carp inhabiting in Lake Çıldır, Turkey. The fatty acids profile showed, monounsaturated fatty acids ranging from 44.82% in the spring to 41.28% in the autumn. The content of total saturated fatty acids (SFA) was changed from 30.35% (summer) to 29.4 ...Daha fazlası

The Effects of Balanced Diets with Soy Bean Extract or Meat and Bone meal on Muscle and Liver Tissue Protein and Glycogen Levels of the Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.) Infected with Vibrio anguillarum

FERBAL ÖZKAN YILMAZ | KENAN ENGİN | ARZU ÖZLÜER HUNT

This study investigated the effects of balanced diets with solvent extracted soy bean and meat and bone meal on the levels of protein and glycogen in muscle and liver tissues of the Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.) infected with Vibrio anguillarum. Compared to the control diet (fishmeal only), diets with solvent extracted soy bean (SBM) and meat and bone meal (MBM) significantly lowered (P

Effects Of The Feeds Containing Different Plant Protein Sources On Growth Performance And Body Composition Of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss W )

MURAT BİLGÜVEN | MUSTAFA BARIŞ

In this study, a total of 720 rainbow trout (Oncorhyncus mykiss) having 50.08±0.19 g of average initial weight were used to compare of usage of the soybean meal, sunflower meal, canola meal and cottonseed meal as the best plant protein source. Four different feeds which contain soybean meal (SBM), canola meal (CM), sunflower meal (SFM) and cotton seed meal were used, respectively. Four trial groups were tested in triplicate during 12 weeks. Experimental diets were prepared as isonitrogenous significantly difference among the groups for average feed consumption, condition factor and survival ra ...Daha fazlası

The Effects of Feeds Containing High and Low Levels of Fullfat Soybean On The Growth Performance and Production Cost Of Rainbow Trout Oncorhynchus mykiss W

MURAT BİLGÜVEN | MUSTAFA BARIŞ

Both the protection of sustainable aquaculture sources and production of low cost fish feeds via usmg of alternative cheaper protein sources instead of fish meal is one of the most important aims of feed producers. Soybean and soybean products are the most attractive feed stuffs in finfish feeds for these reasons. In this study, low (15%) and high (70%) levels of fullfat soybean meal in rainbow trout feeds were used and growth performance, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and production cost of rainbow trout were investigated. The average live weight of 300 rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus m ...Daha fazlası

The effects of fish meal replacement by yeast based nucleotides on growth body composition and digestive enzyme activity in rainbow trout juveniles Oncorhynchus mykiss

ARZU ÖZLÜER HUNT | Ferbal Özkan Yılmaz | Kenan Engin | Serap Yalın | Nefise Özlen Şahin

This 60 day study investigated the effects of organically certified nucleotide yeast-derived protein source (Nu-Pro®) on growth, feed efficiency, fillet proximate composition and digestive enzymes in rainbow trout (Onchorhyncus mykiss). Diets were isonitrogenous and isocaloric. Three experimental diets wherein 20%, 40% and 60% of the fish meal content was replaced by Nu-Pro®, were compared to the control diet in which the crude protein content was anchovy fish meal and corn gluten meal. The rainbow trout (initial weight 27 g/fish) were fed twice daily in 200-l Aqaria. Live weight gain increase ...Daha fazlası

Liver tissue trace element levels in HepB patients and the relationship of these elements with histological injury in the liver and with clinical parameters

FAHRİ KARAYAKAR | TAHSİN ÇOLAK

Aim: In this study, the relationship of liver tissue trace element concentrations with hepatitis B disease and the effects of several environmental factors were analysed. Method: The liver tissue concentrations of Al, Fe, Cd, Mn, Cr, Cu, Pb, Ni, Zn, Ag, and Co were evaluated in 92 patients with hepatitis B using the Inductively Coupled Plasma − Mass Spectrometry (ICP/MS) method in the analyses. The patients were divided into the following two groups: low-high Ishak histologic activity index (HAI) (0–6: Low Histologic Activity, 7–18: High Histologic Activity) and low-high fibrosis (FS) (Fibro ...Daha fazlası
