This study was conducted to determine the status of university students' emotional intelligence. The sample of this descriptive research is composed of students who have stuidied at a four year university. They are selected according to criteria of faculty and gender based on the random sampling. The data was collected using "Personal Information Form", Bar-On Emotional Intellegent Inventory. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the stress levels of first‐year nursing students end of the first day of clinical practice and the factors affecting these. Design and Methods: This was a descriptive and cross‐sectional study. A student information form and the clinical stress questionnaire (CSQ) were used to collect the research data. Findings: The average CSQ score of the students was 23.57 ± 8.35 and it was determined that the students experienced below‐average stress. Practice Implications: In line with the results obtained from the study, it was observed that the student's CSQ scores at the end of the first day of clinical practice were below average, and their biggest fear about clinical practice was that they would harm the patient.
A total of 97 female students, 50 in the intervention group and 47 in the control group, were included in this pretest-posttest design randomized controlled study. Massage and progressive relaxation exercises are self-administered practices that are easy to adopt, with no side effects, and have beneficial effects on pain, sweating, fatigue, and gastrointestinal and central nervous system signs. So, it can be asserted that when applied together, massage and progressive relaxation exercises could be more effective in reducing menstrual symptoms than applying them separately.
