This study investigated the multi-response optimization of tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) welding process for an optimal parametric combination to yield favorable bead geometry of welded joints using the Grey relational analysis and Taguchi method. Sixteen experimental runs based on an orthogonal array of Taguchi method were performed to derive objective functions to be optimized within experimental domain. The objective functions have been selected in relation to parameters of TIG welding bead geometry; bead width, bead height, penetration, area of penetration as well as width of heat affected zone and tensile load. Comparison of the effects of glutamine and an amino acid solution on post-thawed ram sperm parameters, lipid peroxidation and anti-oxidant activities

Ram semen contains sufficient quantities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and much lower concentrations of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and catalase (CAT) to prevent oxidative damage. The anti-oxidant capacity of the sperm cell is limited, due to a small cytoplasmic component,which contains these anti-oxidants to scavenge the oxidants. However ,the concentration of these anti-oxidants may decrease considerably by the dilution of the semen. New perfluorinated rhodium-BINAP catalysts and hydrogenation of styrene in supercritical CO2

New perfluorinated BINAP ligands and their cationic rhodium complexes have been synthesized and characterized. The catalysts have been tested in homogeneous hydrogenation of the styrene in both methanol and supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2). The selective hydrogenations of the styrene in scCO2 were carried out under the same reaction conditions of 343.15 K temperature and 120 bar CO2 pressure after 3 h (molar ratio of substrate to catalyst = 500). While all catalysts showed 100% conversion in methanol, same activity was not carried out in scCO2. (R)-6,6 -diperflorooktil-2,2 -bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1 -binaphtyl- [Rh(COD)]BArF was showed the highest conversion (96.4%) in scCO2. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de turizm işletmelerinde çalışanların duygusal emek düzeylerini ve boyutlarını ölçebilmek için Turizm İşletmelerinde Duygusal Emek Ölçeği (HELS) (Chu ve Murrmann, 2006), Türkçe’ye uyarlanarak çalışan‐ ların duygusal emek düzeyleri ve boyutları ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Akdeniz bölgesinde 5 otel işletmesi bünyesinde, 174 çalışandan toplanan verilerle yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda Türkiye’de turizm işletmelerinde duygusal emeği oluşturan boyutlar; (1) derin davranış, (2) yüzeysel davranış olarak bulunmuştur. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi derin davranış ve yüzeysel davranış olarak isimlendirilen iki faktörlü çözümün uygun olduğunu göstermektedir.
