Educational institutions are among the institutions that can be addressed within the framework of “panopticism”, which Michel Foucault put forward to explain the surveillance society inspired by J. Bentham. These are areas where the authorities control, classify and discipline individuals as a panoptic device. In these areas, which can be called the “institution of confinement”, certain norms are legitimized, and individuals who obey domination are raised by creating consent beyond oppression.
