RESEARCH PATTERNS IN FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION OF OLDER ADULTS: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY BASED ON SCOPUS DATA

This study systematically evaluates the existing literature on the financial exploitation of older adults, a multidisciplinary research topic encompassing law, finance, and social sciences, and identifies emerging research trends in the field. Using bibliometric analysis based on data from the Scopus database, 391 English-language articles and reviews published through the end of 2024 were examined in accordance with PRISMA guidelines. Bibliometrix software was used to assess publication and authorship patterns, while VOSviewer facilitated scientific mapping through co-citation, bibliographic coupling, co-authorship, and keyword co-occurrence analyses to uncover the conceptual, intellectual, and social structures of the field.
