The Comparison of Three Different Cryoprotectants in Cryopreservation of Angora Goat Semen

The objective of this study was to evaluate glycerol (G), ethylene glycol (EG) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) which were used two different doses on in vitro semen parameters, antioxidant enzymes activities and DNA damage after the freeze-thaw process in Angora goat semen. Semen samples from 5 mature Angora goats were used in this study. Evaluation of the in vitro cryopreservative performance of Juniper berry oil (Juniperus communis) on frozen-thawed bull semen

This study aimed to reveal the effects of juniper (Juniperus communis) berry oil (JB) when added to the Tris extender, on bull (Holstein) sperm motility characteristics, abnormal sperm ratio, DNA fragmentation and some oxidative stress markers. The pooled ejaculate was divided into five equal parts as control (C) and Tris diluent containing 25, 50, 100, 200 μg/ml JB. Diluted semen was incubated at 4 °C for 4 h and then frozen in liquid nitrogen (−196 °C). After freezing-thawing, motility characteristics were determined using a sperm analyzer system. Cryoprotective effect of vaccenic acid supplemented in bull semen extender

The aim of this study was to investigate whether vaccenic acid (VA) added to TRIS semen extender has an effect on freezing bull semen. The semen was collected at intervals of three days through an artificial vagina then pooled. The pooled ejaculates were divided into five components as the control (C; no supplement) and VA (25, 50, 100, and 200 µg / mL) groups then extended with the TRIS-based medium.
